I took the Thursday and Friday off work as a couple of days holiday last week, but my plans for the Thursday got cancelled when Tammy was unable to take the day off too.
As Dave was between jobs, and awaiting the start of his new one on Monday, we decided to go to the park and fly the radio controlled pterodactyl that his sister had recently bought him. For something that just flapped it wings, it flew pretty well in Southwark park but there was an incident with it getting stuck in a tree which took a while to solve and we realised if we ever did fly it off the balcony, it would be unlikely to make it back.
In the evening, we went for a couple of drinks and a gourmet burger before getting an early night ready for our busy day on Friday. Kev drove over on Thursday night and stayed over so we were all ready to get up early in the morning.
So we arrived at Heathrow Airport bright and early the following morning, ready to greet our special guest... flying all the way from the United States for one weekend only (crazy girl)... Miss Heather Rudd!
Unfortunately, things didn't go quite to plan. Her plane was a little late, but that was the least of her worries. Her luggage didn't turn up. And before you ask, it was Terminal 3. Somehow Air Canada had managed to get London and Vancouver mixed up and had sent her suitcase there. Not good.
So, unusually for a tourist in London, our first stop was Primark on Oxford Street to try and grab a couple of cheap outfits with Amy and Pam able to bring some clothes with them later in the day.

The lost luggage and our trip to Primark didn't dampen our spirits too much. Heather was still smiling and glad to be in London; and we still went out to have lunch at Giraffe (where I had blueberry and banana pancakes ... yum) and we still went to out to dinner as planned at Strada in the evening.

To this day Heather's luggage still hasn't turned up...
